M&C! Licenses Kasane Novel Prequel Izana

Novel debuted in 2014, tells story of Kasane's mother
Indonesian publisher M&C! announced on Sunday that it has licensed Kasane manga. M&C! did not announce a release date for the novel.
The novel centers on the childhood of Izana, the mother of Kasane, the main character of the manga. The novel is set in Akeiwa, a remote and sparsely populated village bound by tradition and convention.
Matsuura published the novel in December 2014.
Matsuura launched the main manga series in licensed the manga, and will ship the 12th volume on Wednesday.
The manga inspired a live-action film adaptation that opened in Japan in September 2018.
