The anime's scriptwriter protagonist will be Satsuki Kiryūin, rival and ally of the original anime's protagonist Ryūko Matoi.
The game will also have another story mode featuring Ryūko Matoi. After players beat Satsuki's story, Ryūko's story scenario will unlock. Ryūko's story mode also features an original story.
Playable characters include Satsuki Kiryūin, Ryuko Matoi, Ira Gamagoori, Uzu Sanageyama, Houka Inumuta, Nonon Jakuzure, Ragyō Kiryūin, and Nui Harime. The game will add the playable characters Mako Mankanshoku and Ultimate Double Naked DTR as free able content this summer.
