Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend Anime Film Unveils New Trailer, Visual

The official film, began streaming a trailer for the film on Saturday. The film's website also revealed a new visual for the film.

The film will open in Japan in fall 2019.
Aniplex will distribute the film.
The returning cast includes:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Tomoya Aki
- Megumi Katō
- Saori Ōnishi as Eriri Spencer Sawamura
- Utaha Kasumigaoka
- Sayuri Yahagi as Michiru Hyōdō
- Chinatsu Akasaki as Izumi Hashima
- Tetsuya Kakihara as Iori Hashima
The film will not be a compilation film of the previous anime, but will be a new work.
Fumiaki Maruto's original light novel series with illustrations by dōjin game after her. However, he finds out a month later that the girl is in fact his classmate, and he doesn't know her name. He learns that the girl — named Megumi — actually is hardly noticed by others. Tomoya also has no artistic ability or writing skills, so he asks ace of the art club Eriri Spencer Sawamura to provide the art, as well as the honor student Utaha Kasumigaoka to write the scenario. Can they produce a decent game for Comic Market?
The light novel series ended with its 13th volume in October 2017.
The novels inspired an anime adaptation that premiered in January 2015 in Japan on Anime Strike channel.
A PlayStation Vita game based off of the anime shipped in Japan in April 2015.
ended that manga in June 2017, and the second and final volume shipped in July 2017.
The novels have inspired two other manga series titled ended last April. The manga's 10th and final compiled volume shipped last June.
