Funimation, Universal Pictures Enter Distribution Agreement

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment (UPHE) announced on Tuesday that the two companies have entered a multi-year agreement in which UPHE will manage distribution of all Funimation DVD and Blu-ray releases.
Funimation executive vice president and chief operating officer Mike DuBoise stated that the agreement will "create greater scale and opportunities for us across our physical distribution business." He also said that it will allow Funimation to focus on acquiring and co-producing shows, developing its digital distribution platform, and marketing its brands.
DuBoise previously Universal Studios Home Entertainment) as senior vice president of strategic customer marketing before ing Funimation in 2013.
Funimation has licensed some of the anime produced by The Heroic Legend of Arslan.
