Bandai Predicts More Gundam Sales, But Lower Toy/Model Sales

According to Bandai franchise grew from 38.2 billion yen ($479 million) in the previous year to 44.7 billion yen (US$560 million). Sales of Gundam toys and hobby kits in particular grew from 13.4 billion yen ($168 million) to 15.6 billion yen ($196 million) as well.
The company projects that for the next financial year, sales for the Gundam series overall will increase to 47 billion yen (US$590 million), but that toy and model sales for the series will drop to 15 billion yen (US$188 million).
