Hayao Miyazaki Wins British Fantasy Award

Special open-category Karl Edward Wagner Award presented this weekend
Hayao Miyazaki has won the Karl Edward Wagner Award at the 2009 British Fantasy Awards (BFAwards) presentation ceremony at FantasyCon in Nottingham this past weekend. The British Film Society, FantasyCon, and BFAwards Committees select the winner of this special award with no genre or medium restrictions.
Previous winners of this award have included Ray Harryhausen, Howl's Moving Castle novel into an anime film in 2004.
