Tokikake Wins "Animation of the Year" at Japanese Academy Awards: Follow Up

Film follows up a string of awards by winning Japan's highest honor
The 30th Annual Japan Academy Awards, held February 16th at the Takanawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, have awarded the "Animation of the Year" award to Toki o Kakeru Shōjo (Mamoru Hosoda's film, which has already trounced its competition in Awards ceremonies throughout the entertainment world.
The other films nominated for the "Animation of the Year" award are as follows:
Yasuichirō Yamamoto
Although TokiKake only took in about 300 million yen (about 3 million US Dollars), reviews and press about the film has been overwhelmingly positive and could lead to brisk sales for a DVD release.
