posted on by Jennifer Sherman
A special extra November issue of Animedia magazine went on sale in Japan on October 3 under the title Nyankomedia. The issue marks the launch of Japan's first magazine dedicated to information about cat characters in anime.
The magazine aims to appeal to both cat lovers and anime fans. The cover of the first issue features Takashi Natsume and Nyanko-sensei from the season launched in Japan on October 5.
The magazine includes a special 50-page feature article about Nyanko-sensei and Natsume's Book of Friends. The issue features gravure photos and interviews with Aimer.
The issue celebrates Nyanko-sensei's appearance in the opening animation, ending animation, and eyecatches of the anime's first four seasons. The popular cat appears in about 200 cuts in the magazine.
The inaugural issue of Nyankomedia includes a feature about cafe recommendations, and an article from a vet specializing in cats round out the issue.
The regular November issue of Animedia shipped in Japan on October 8.
