SEGA 'Investigates' HD Remaster of Shenmue, Shenmue II Games

Shenmue and Shenmue II. In the video, Sheridan answers a fan question regarding an HD remaster of the first two Shenmue games, and replies that while SEGA wants to release remastered versions, quality concerns and licensed properties present within the game must be investigated first, and concludes that SEGA is "currently investigating how to make it a reality."
SEGA released the first Shenmue on its Dreamcast console in Japan in 1999, and in North America in 2000. It released Shenmue II on the Dreamcast in Japan in 2000, and in North America in 2001. Shenmue II also received an Xbox version in 2002. The series was originally planned as a trilogy.
Series director met that goal within nine hours of launching, before adding additional stretch goals.
Shenmue III was the reported that Shenmue III was the fastest video game crowdfunding campaign to raise US$1 million in pledges.
Suzuki is aiming to release the game for PlayStation 4 and PC in December 2017.
